About the hotel:
Ever the best resort on the island. Kind staff, good food, good pool. Beautiful beach with excellent snorkeling opportunities (coral reef in front of the hotel). Very clean sandy beach in a separated bay that can became a shortage in the future because of the ongoing development of new buildings year by year. Same size of beach but more and more people. We liked this hotel because of the advantage of non-crowded, separated, silent beach.

This hotel is great! Location-wise you are at the very end of kai bae and with car it feels remote because of a steep hill to get past but walking along the beach you are on kai bae main street in 10min. The facilities at the hotel are great, pool spotless and beach quiet as its only hotel guest allowed. Rooms were spacious, trendy decorated and we had a deluxe room which had a spectacular view from the balcony! Food wasnt great. Breakfast buffet was very nice but the restaurang was quiet in the evening and food not so good. however, 5min walk on the beach and you have some exceptionally good and really cheap beach restaurants.

Nice place! The only thing to complain about was the location for breakfast. All guests had to take the cablecar to get there and it did get a bit crowded in the mornings. Nice view though.

A wonderful hotel. We had a deluxroom that was great! A big veriety of food at breakfast. Nice staff that was very helpful if you needed anything. A nice private beach with crystal clear water!What more could you ask for??!!

Wonderful view from the restaurant and rooms. But rooms are old, territory is small. Location is bad: far from Kai Bei village, no shops and restaurants near the hotel. No taxi at Koh Chang at all, just Tuk-Tuk (inconvenient and expensive) and rented motorbikes. No working facilities at the hotel. It was a reconstruction during our stay: everytime we heard a loud sound of a drilling machine, workers and tractors are everywhere. Everywhere there is a garbage from the reconstruction. I think, the reconstruction will take long time, some months.

imgSea View Resort and Spa Koh Chang is located on the island of Koh Chang, near the viewpoint on the southern end of Kai Bae Beach. The resort is majestically situated on a cliff that descends to its private beach with clear waters. The beach area is large enough to cater for beach parties, a romantic wedding and even sports activities.

By Bus

Daily air-conditioned bus departing from the Ekkamai Bus Terminal at 7.45 a.m. directly to the pier (Ao Thammachat pier) and frequently from the Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit) to Trat.

Alternatively, the visitors can take a minibus or full-sized bus service with pick-up from Khao San Road. This service can be booked by travel agents in this area. It costs around 250-300 THB. It may include ferry crossing. This is a good choice if you stay in a guesthouse at Khao San Road

By Car

There are three ways on road from Bangkok to Trat
  1. Bangna-Trat (Highway No.3) which takes you through the major towns of Rayong and Chanthaburi. The distance is 385 km.
  2. Bangna-Chonburi-Kleng-Chanthaburi (Highway No.344) This highway is entirely four lanes and does not pass through any major towns. This highway joins Highway 3 at Klaeng. The distance is 315 km.
  3. The Motorway is another alternative, but involves paying tolls about 55 baht. Starting from Rama IX Road and leading on to Srinakarin Road, exit after paying the second toll, this exit leads to Ban Beung-Klaeng. Which then joins Highway3.The distance is 300 km.

From Trat to Koh Chang :

Ferry to Koh Chang from Ao thammachart (Trat) to Ao Sapparod (Koh Chang) a ferry depart every 45 minutes.  Travel time is about 25 minutes.
